Videos - FSX SP1/XP Pro with MegaSceneryX Southern California.  These are large files, still interested? Continue reading...

Here are two videos using FSX and the MegaSceneryX Southern California add-on scenery, as well as my FSX settings (below).  The first is a daytime video heading South from the Sepulveda Pass down the 405 towards LAX. The other is an approach and landing at SMO, RWY 03, more for the scenery than my flying skills, no comments from the peanut gallery required <g>. They're big, ~25.3MB to ~27.4MB big, 640x480/29.97FPS.   The files were captured using the 8800GTX S-Video output on a Falcon Northwest box/ XP Pro SP2 to a Dell XPS 600/XP Pro SP2 using a Viewcast Osprey 230 analog capture card.  Details on the rigs  are on the flight sim page (opens in a new window). You can check out MegaSceneryX here.

Note that the files may stream, depends on platform, browser settings/plug-ins etc. For Mac users, the free to use Flip4Mac WMV player works well (and it really is free, though the download page will try to sell you the upgraded version ;-)).

Slow connection, or just want a few screenshots? This is the page for that.

Note: This is an old page, so what's below is way out of date, but may still be of interest.

Here are the settings I use in FSX. For my NVIDIA Control Panel settings see this page (opens in a new window) which also has my FS9 settings. I use the same NVIDIA settings for both FS versions.
